    Has anyone been able to keep the old CatchOnTV app working long term?

    I reverted led back and it worked fine for one day. Now, nothing will load.

      What version of CatchOnTV were you on? 1.6.0, 1.6.2, 1.6.3?
      What device are you using it on?
      I went back to see if 1.6.2 would work and it did, but then I went back to MoaTV 2.0.11. Working pretty well for me.

        Please make sure your VPN is off when you download a code on the Downloader browser and try and install the app. There’s known issues when you try to do it with a VPN on.

          Please make sure your VPN is off when you download a code on the Downloader browser and try and install the app. There’s known issues when you try to do it with a VPN on.

              That could be my mistake with what I posted. Apparently, there’s pros and cons to both practices of leaving on or turning off your VPN when downloading a file to install on your device.

              @arthur
              Please clarify if we should leave the VPN on or turn the VPN off when downloading a CatchONTV app file or MoaTV app file using Downloader.

                @caboguy @hawk If you encounter issues while installing an app using the Downloader application—such as “redirecting,” “forbidden,” or “unknown error”—this is often related to your Downloader app/VPN connection.

                To resolve the problem-

                1. Clear the data file of the Downloader app and force stop it/reinstall the Downloader app.
                2. If your VPN is currently off, turn it on.
                3. If your VPN is currently on, turn it off.

                By following these steps, you will be able to successfully install MoaTV/CatchON TV.

                  Thank you for clarifying the procedure to download a file using downloader and how to properly incorporate a VPN to ensure uninterrupted file download.

                    I discovered my old Fire TV with 4K Ultra HD (3rd Generation) and deleted all the previous data (apps and settings). Then, I imported my previous settings from my Fire TV Cubes (3rd Generation) data. I reinstalled my VPN and the CatchOnTV app (1.6.2), and it’s working perfectly for me. There’s no buffering, and I can change channels without any errors. I’ll use as many features as possible and report back if there are any issues.

                      @Hawk Using version 1.6.3 on an ONN device. I deleted and downloaded again today to see if a different result is obtained.

                        Was the 1.6.3 on your Onn device stable for most of the time? Are you using WiFi or an Ethernet cable from a router?

                          I'm using 1.6.3 on a Firestick 4kMax, using Wifi. It's quite stable.

                            Thank you for the information about the stability of 1.6.3. Some have reported having glitches with it, but like you I find it stable also on 1.6.2.

                              @Hawk Yes, it was stable using Onn device until it was accidentally updated. Will try and revert again. Everything is being used via wi-fi.

                              (FYI, I am personally using version 2.0.11 via Onn device and wi-fi with few issues.)
