One thing I haven't seen mentioned among all the issues around the new app. The Music section is totally gone. At least one of my friends I helped getting on CatchOnTV is a heavy user of the music. Is it gone forever?

Firesticks first came out in 2014. They've upgraded them as much as they can but a WiFi dongle isn't powerful enough to process 2026 levels of streaming content. I switched to the Cubes and that has helped, but a lot of other people use other powerful devices. You can look at the TZBox here on channelmoa or Android TV (BuzzTV Powerstations) or Google TV Boxes (Onn 4K Pro).Yes, Firesticks came out in 2014. But your other comments are just silly. No, they haven't "upgraded them as much as they can" any more than they've upgraded PCs or automobiles as much as they can. Also, there are MANY viable streaming apps offering HD and 4k that run just fine on a Firestick 4kMax. Finally, a business needs to offer a product that meets the needs of the large majority of their customers, and I'm pretty positive that the overwhelming majority of CatchOnTV/MOA users have Firesticks. If they really want to offer an app that only works on a Fire Cube or greater hardware, that's fine. But their paid user base will shrink dramatically.

4/4/26 app not workingI must be in the minority then because mostly this new app has worked well for me except maybe a glitch or two and when those happened I got onto live chat and they fixed them. If you do a Göögle search on CatchOn there’s a lot of fake ones out there with fake web addresses and a lot of people signed up with them and were scammed. They thought they were on the legit app and they weren’t, making for a lot of unhappy would be customers. Don’t believe me, check out the Reddit section. Did they go about it the right way as far as a roll out? That’s in question, but the image quality of the content is definitely better than it was on live and that might be why there’s buffering at the moment. Better quality of image takes more resources. If one doesn’t want to go through the process of the new app, there’s a way go back to the old app if not satisfied. Live chat is always available and issues with the app can be posted in the category: Apps & Device Support > Troubleshooting.
And there's ALREADY (reported in Reddit) a fake MOA website scamming people and taking their money. I believe, if I remember correctly, it's moatvapp.com. You most definitely can't solve a problem with fake scam sites simply by changing the name and website. That's just ridiculous to think that is a winning anti-scam strategy, as proven by how quickly a fake scam MOA site has appeared.

4/2/26 APP working like trash@Nyle3019 WHY was it necessary to "upgrade" from the stable 1.6 app in the first place??? You guys seem to have forgotten the old saying about "if it isn't broke, don't fix it!" Can anyone give us a rational answer about WHY? You've switched to obviously a totally different app, and it seems to be too "heavy" to run well on a Firestick, which I'm guessing is the huge majority of your user base.
Why???

4/4/26 app not working@billysellas If any channel is down, or all channels are loading/buffering at the same time, please contact Live Chat Support. They can fix the issue quickly or guide you with simple troubleshooting steps.
This forum is mainly for discussion and feedback. You can report issues here, but for a quick fix, it’s best to contact the Chat Support Team directly.Sorry, but reporting the ongoing issues via support chat is a total waste of time at this point. I reported that I could not get the Texas - Cincinnati MLB game, either via USA major leagues or ppv-sports. With and without a VPN, set to Chicago as instructed.
The response? Please reboot your firestick AND your router. Please uninstall and reinstall the app again - which I already said I have done all of before at least half a dozen times this week!
Meanwhile (as I explained) I have the same model firestick, connected to the same network using the same router and same VPN using the old 1.6.3 and it works just fine! It's not the Firestick, it's not the network and it's not the router! It's your crappy 2.x app! Sorry, but I'm DONE spending 30-60 minutes every time clearing cache, rebooting my firestick, rebooting my router and THEN uninstalling and reinstalling the app! NONE OF THAT EVER FIXES IT, IT JUST WASTES A LOT OF TIME - AGAIN!

Can ANYONE provide an answer of WHY this switch to 2.x was necessary, because it's not working and the old one was just fine!

4/2/26 APP working like trash -
App keeps freezing@Hawk I'll chime in - I'm using the latest Firestick 4kMax. My internet is fiber, Firestick Aniliti speedtest shows over 200Mb and a "streaming quality" metric at around 96%. I have 2 identical devices, connected to the same internet, using the same VPN (IPVanish) and have tested with VPN (Chicago per your instructions) and without. My device using 2.0.11 takes over 2 minutes to load and buffers a lot, across multiple channels. Yesterday using the new US Major Leagues not a single MLB game would work. My other (identically configured) device using 1.6.3 runs great. As I've said earlier, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it!" What was wrong with 1.6 that most everyone was happy with??
-
ChannelMoa White Label Solution@Trams that's been exactly my thought - the previous app was definitely "lighter." The new "heavier" one seems to be overwhelming the firestick (I'm using the latest 4k Max) so scrolling becomes jerky while you're trying to use it.
My question is - WHY did you/we really NEED the new "heavy" app? The UI doesn't seem better, and I think your user base was pretty satisfied with the previous app. Ever heard that saying, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it?" I'm afraid that applies here.

MoAtv app ver2.0.11 updated@Arthur LOL maybe for you they were! I tried multiple games multiple times with no success, then walked into the other room where I still have 1.6 running and brought them right up.

ChannelMoa White Label Solution@Trams I've helped set up (and made bitcoin payment for) close to 15 friends. I've been talking to support about the partner program to officially resell the service. I'm a retired electrical engineer, have used CatchOnTV for 2 years and recently renewed for 2 more.
BUT - the switch to MOA TV, and more specifically the switch to the totally different 2.x app has been (and continues to be) such an unmitigated disaster that I'd have to be nuts to keep recommending AND reselling it and having to support even more users than all my currently unhappy friends.

Movie or series tabs not working@Arthur I've tried to use, and been VERY FRUSTRATED WITH 2.0.4, 2.0.9 and 2.0.11. They're ALL unstable, glitch, constant buffering and various pieces not working. I've been on CatchOnTV for 2 years, just renewed for 2 more and am regretting that at this point! The CatchOnTV service with app versions up to 1.6.3 were very good. The MOA TV switchover with app 2.x has been (and still is) an unmitigated disaster! I've recommended this to about 15 other friends, helped many of them install it and made the bitcoin payment for them. They're pretty much ALL calling me highly frustrated at this point. I absolutely can't recommend this crappy MOA TV app & service to anyone at this time. Not sure how you managed to screw up a good, stable service this bad, but you did it!

MoAtv app ver2.0.11 updated@Arthur 2.0.11 is awful! NO MLB games will load. Can watch them fine on a different TV that I refused the update and am running 1.6.3

Remember when?@Arthur NONE of the MLB channels are working right now, on 2.0.11. I have another TV that I've kept at 1.6.3 and I can watch the games there just fine!
