Mine has been doing the same since the new upgrade. I have completely reset the software on my firestick. Reloaded MoaTV 3-4 times.Nothing has helped. The old app never gave me these issues.
Also app is very slow loading. I sure hope they fix this. I have been using it for over 2 years. Not sure I would recommend this app anymore. -

Not sure I would recommend this app anymore. We’re really sorry to hear about your experience since the upgrade—we understand how frustrating that is, especially after using the service for so long without issues.
The new app is still being actively optimized, and some users may experience slower load times or stability issues depending on the device and setup. We appreciate you already taking the time to reinstall and reset—those are the right steps.
At this point, we recommend:
-Making sure your device software is fully up to date
-Trying a quick restart of your network (modem/router)
-If using a VPN, testing with a different server or turning it off temporarilyWe’ve also shared feedback like yours with the development team, particularly regarding performance on Firestick devices and the slower loading times after the update.
We truly value your 2+ years with us and understand your concerns about recommending the app. Improvements are ongoing, and stability is a top priority right now.
Thank you for your patience and continued support—we’re working to get things back to the level you expect.

@Nyle3019 nope still getting the occasional freeze. I have plenty of internet. My firestick is wired directly to the router.

@Hawk I'll chime in - I'm using the latest Firestick 4kMax. My internet is fiber, Firestick Aniliti speedtest shows over 200Mb and a "streaming quality" metric at around 96%. I have 2 identical devices, connected to the same internet, using the same VPN (IPVanish) and have tested with VPN (Chicago per your instructions) and without. My device using 2.0.11 takes over 2 minutes to load and buffers a lot, across multiple channels. Yesterday using the new US Major Leagues not a single MLB game would work. My other (identically configured) device using 1.6.3 runs great. As I've said earlier, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it!" What was wrong with 1.6 that most everyone was happy with??

Another viewer did the same thing as I did and it helped them as well.

Thanks for the update — I know how frustrating that can be, especially when you’ve already ruled out your internet and are running a wired setup.
Since you’re still experiencing occasional freezing, that usually points to something on the app or stream side rather than your connection. A few things you can try that have helped others:
.Force stop the app and relaunch it
.Clear the app cache (not data)
.Restart your Firestick and router (even if wired, this can refresh the connection)
.Try switching to a different stream/source for the same channel when available
.Make sure the app is fully up to dateIf it continues, it may be related to specific channels or peak-time load — our team is actively working on optimizing stream stability across the board.
If you can, let us know which channel(s) you're seeing this on and roughly what time it happens — that really helps us pinpoint the issue faster.
Appreciate your patience while we get this ironed out.

@Hawk firestick 4 k max. Speed test says 363mbs. Have another firestick upstairs but that’s running the older app for now with no issues at all.

@Nyle3019 yes I’ve been doing all that on a regular basis.

Thanks for the detailed info — that really helps.
Since your Firestick 4K Max is getting strong speeds (~363 Mbps) and your other Firestick running the older app has no issues, this points away from your internet and more toward the current app version on the 4K Max.
At the moment, the newer app is still being optimized across different devices, and the 4K Max can sometimes be more sensitive to those changes.
In the meantime, please try the following:
.Restart your Firestick
.Clear the app cache (Settings > Applications > Manage Installed Apps > [App] > Clear Cache)
.Turn off “Match Original Frame Rate” in Display settings
.Set resolution to 1080p instead of Auto/4K (for testing)We’re actively working on improvements, and updates should continue to stabilize performance. We appreciate your patience while we get everything running smoothly.

Got it — appreciate you confirming that, and I hear your frustration.
Since you’ve already been consistently clearing cache, restarting, and adjusting settings, and your other Firestick on the older app is running fine, this really confirms it’s not anything on your end.
At this point, it’s most likely tied to the current app version on the 4K Max. Some devices are handling the new build better than others, and the team is actively working on stability improvements.
This is something that needs to be resolved through upcoming app updates.
We appreciate your patience and sticking with us while we get this ironed out. -

A couple of years ago I was getting super frustrated using the firestick’s as my streaming devices, so I decided to go with their more powerful model, the Fire TV Cube (2nd & 3rx Generations) that has better processors, storage and performance than the early model Firestick I had. What a difference it made. I think the Firestick’s can show that it has a high speed, but still lack in handling heavy duty content. I have my Cube’s plugged directly into my 6E router that’s set up separately from my own modem. Unless someone gets the optional Ethernet connector to hook into the Firestick dongle they’ll have to go with WiFi and that’s another issue because there can be dropouts or weak signals. I’d suggest getting a heavy duty streaming device to handle all the new content coming out now from the new versions of MoaTV (Troypoint has reviews for those) or stay with the CatchOnTV app 1.6

@billysellas I second that! Or maybe like Apple and put an update out to let the users find all the faults
