My app journey as of this time...
-
This is just an FYI for the staff at MOA, maybe it will help trouble shoot the new app.
I have a Amazon Fire cube for the upstairs tv and a Nvidia Shield for the downstairs tv. I have been working on these off and on to get the new app to work since it came out. The upstairs Fire Cube updated this morning to the new operating system and seems to be working well. I can now access movies and series and the live menu system seems to be working well also. The downstairs tv with the Nvidia Shield I updated a few hours ago to the new system by uninstalling the old one and doing a fresh install of the new one. It worked fine for a few hours and then I can't "change the channel" in live tv. It lets me see what is there but is will not let me select it and it doesn't show what is on in the time slot. -
thanks for Thank you for sharing this in detail.
We will forward the Nvidia Shield-related issue you mentioned to the relevant team for review.
Thank you again for taking the time to help us improve the app. -
2 New Issues noticed on 2.0.11.
I am using an Amazon Fire Streaming stick HD(v 7.7.1.2). Since updating to the new app I have noticed 2 small, but different, abnormalities that I wanted to bring to your attention.
-
When watching a VOD series or movie I can no longer use the Fire TV remote to pause, rewind or fast forward the show. I can, however, click the FireTV remote center button that will bring up these controls within the software. Not sure if that was intentional or if there was a way to simply use the buttons on the remote to perform these tasks.
-
If I am watching any content on MoaTV and I click the Home button on the FireTV remote to switch applications (i.e., to YouTube, Prime, etc.) then when I come back to MoaTV the app with not load and will present a blank grey screen. From there, if I go into Applications > Manage Installed Applications > MoaTV > Force Stop, then go back and open the app it will load properly. It's as if the app remains open in the background and will not reload on its own unless it is force stopped manually. This did not happen with the previous version of the MoaTV app.
There is no complaint here, just informational for the developers if there is anything that can be done to fix these bugs.
Thanks for all you guys are doing to make the experience great!

@KBrew Here is the solution:
- All playback controls are functioning properly. To pause, press the OK/Select button twice. For fast-forward or rewind, press the "OK/Select" button once, then press the "Down Navigation" button, and use the "Right/Left" Navigation buttons to adjust playback direction.
- When you want to exit the app, you need to exit it properly using the "Return/Back" button three to four (3-4) times.

OK... completely understand and that is great! Will do this from here on out.
My point with these 2 topics was that they were operating differently in the old version (ability to use the remote buttons for example.) No problem what so ever with the way it operates now, but incase others were having the same experience I thought I would bring it up. Hey thanks for the quick response!
