I've been talking to support about the partner program to officially resell the service. I'm a retired electrical engineer, have used CatchOnTV for 2 years and recently renewed for 2 more.
BUT - the switch to MOA TV, and more specifically the switch to the totally different 2.x app has been (and continues to be) such an unmitigated disaster that I'd have to be nuts to keep recommending AND reselling it and having to support even more users than all my currently unhappy friends.

@CaboGuy 100% correct. Catch on was literally a million times better.

Thank you for your honesty—and for the support you’ve shown over the years. Bringing in and helping that many users is no small thing, and we understand why this situation is especially frustrating for you.
We won’t sugarcoat it—the transition to the new MOA TV 2.x app has not met expectations for many users, particularly those on Firestick and similar devices. The issues with performance, stability, and overall user experience are known, and they’re being actively worked on.
From a partner/reseller standpoint, your concern is completely valid. It’s difficult to stand behind and promote a service when the current experience isn’t consistent. That’s not the position we want any of our long-term users or potential partners to be in.
What we can say is:
✓The development team is prioritizing stability, faster load times, and app optimization
✓Updates are being rolled out incrementally rather than one large fix
✓Feedback like yours—especially from experienced users—is being taken seriously at a higher level. We understand your hesitation to continue recommending or reselling at this time, and that’s a reasonable stance given your experience. All we can ask is for a bit more time while these improvements are implemented.
We truly appreciate your long-term support and the users you’ve brought in. Once the platform stabilizes, we hope to regain your confidence moving forward.

@CaboGuy I know the previous version was lighter and very stable. But when we first launched CatchOn, it also took us about 3 months of debugging to really stabilize everything.
This time, we’re working hard to resolve issues much faster. That said, there are a lot more backend systems connected now, so things can feel a bit heavier — hope you can understand that part.
We’re continuously reporting issues to the dev team and fixing them as we go, so we really appreciate your patience if you run into any problems.
Thanks again for your understanding

@Trams that's been exactly my thought - the previous app was definitely "lighter." The new "heavier" one seems to be overwhelming the firestick (I'm using the latest 4k Max) so scrolling becomes jerky while you're trying to use it.
My question is - WHY did you/we really NEED the new "heavy" app? The UI doesn't seem better, and I think your user base was pretty satisfied with the previous app. Ever heard that saying, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it?" I'm afraid that applies here.

@CaboGuy Thanks for your feedback—we really appreciate you taking the time to share your experience.
The recent update was made to introduce several important improvements. We’ve added enhanced security features and expanded integration through new plugin capabilities, which will allow us to offer more features and flexibility moving forward.
The main reason for the slowness was the new watchdog system for real-time updates, which initially made the app feel heavier.
We’ve already released an update to improve performance, so it should be faster now than before. The main reason for this update is that the previous system had clear limitations in terms of scalability, so we had to redesign and upgrade the system as a whole.
If these issues continue, we’re also considering releasing a much simpler version focused only on live channels. For now, though, we’d like to monitor the situation a bit more before making that decision.
We’re aware that there are still some bugs being discovered, and our development team is actively working on fixing them as quickly as possible. We truly appreciate your patience and understanding while we continue to improve the app.
Thanks again for your support!

"which will allow us to offer more features and flexibility moving forward" except that you're currently offering LESS features, and have said that the missing ones (music & karaoke) "may or may not return." I have a couple friends pretty livid about that!
"We’ve already released an update to improve performance, so it should be faster now than before" Are you referring to the 2.0.11 release? Because on my Firestick 4kMax it's still so bad with freezing and buffering that I find myself turning it off and using the 1.6.3 instead..
"we’re also considering releasing a much simpler version focused only on live channels" PLEASE don't do that! You already HAVE a much simpler version which provides all the functionality, not a very stripped down subset.

@CaboGuy This new system is built around a plugin concept, so we’ll keep adding new programs over time. We also have external content teams joining in. Right now we’re still setting up the foundation, but you’ll start seeing more features being added one by one soon.
Version 2.0.11 is about mainly an app update, we don't have app update yet. But on the backend side we’re continuously pushing updates and fixing bugs as we go.
Really appreciate all the feedback you’ve been sharing — we’re definitely taking it into account
