Yes, Firesticks came out in 2014. But your other comments are just silly. No, they haven't "upgraded them as much as they can" any more than they've upgraded PCs or automobiles as much as they can. Also, there are MANY viable streaming apps offering HD and 4k that run just fine on a Firestick 4kMax. Finally, a business needs to offer a product that meets the needs of the large majority of their customers, and I'm pretty positive that the overwhelming majority of CatchOnTV/MOA users have Firesticks. If they really want to offer an app that only works on a Fire Cube or greater hardware, that's fine. But their paid user base will shrink dramatically.
