The search may not be working because the movie and series also aren't working. It only shows the searching dots. Does this for me on Firestick and my phone app as well. I have seen other threads on this as well. The update today was suppose to address that, but I still don't see them.

However, if you check a channel without playing it in full screen and simply scroll through the results, the search results will remain visible.

It's a live search. I can see it trying to search as I enter stuff. When I hit the "previous" button to take me to the search results, ther is nothing there...just searching is all. After updating it still did it. I cleared data and cache. Uninstalled and reinstalled. Seen a number of time with updates on other apps and software the update/patch wouldn't mesh with old installation. So did fresh install. Still having same issue.

Both of the search bars (Homepage and inside MY LIVE) work as a filter. If you notice, while you input letters/words in the box, the app keeps searching automatically in the background even though you have not pressed "Next" on the keyboard.
So you can use both the "Return/Back" button or you can press Next on the keyboard for returning to your search results.

It goes to the search window. The text window pops up. I enter the name or words I want to search. When I hit the next/search button. The text window doesn't go away and actually search. I just updated to 2.0.11. Haven't checked it out yet.

I had not re-checked on the Karaoke (removal of those results is a big plus.

The trailing space is still an issue with the new software although the new system showing the exact search in the search bar makes the presence of a trailing space easier to spot (and so less of an issue).

Karaoke & Music Radio have been removed in latest version 2.0.11

If nothing is found the results show no hits plus Karaoke which made it seem like Karaoke results were somehow affecting the search.

In my case i was looking for "Shameless" which when properly entered should show both the UK and US versions of that show. My issue as it turns out was that I must have had either a leading or trailing space which made it seem like there were no hits. Also, having entered the search incorrectly once, "Shameless " showed up in the quick list (without quotes so the presence of a space in the search string was not detectable).

When I ignored the quick list words and reentered "shameless" without the space, the results were as expected.

Recommendation

Trim leading and trailing spaces from any search terms before executing the search.

Allow searcher to specify a filter on the search to include/exclude Movies/Series/Live TV and Karaoke. Current searches are global or LiveTV global

Please make sure to search with the correct names.
And we have a dedicated search bar inside MY LIVE section, which will work for Live channels only.
